For our village and community

Welcome

About Us

Loddiswell Congregational Church is a friendly fellowship of Christians, with a membership across generations. We are an independent church affiliated to the Congregational Federation. We provide a wide range of activities and also offer a variety of worship styles in our programme of regular Sunday morning services.

Our Vision Statement

To be a relevant, visible and prayer-led church, actively building connections and developing authentic relationships in our village and in the wider community.

Children and Youth Work

We are really pleased to offer a range of inclusive activities for children & teenagers during school term time - 'Sunday Club' for ages 5 to 11 happens on 2nd & 4th Sundays at 9:30am and also 'The Attic' Youth Group, which meets on Mondays at 7pm.

Zoomers in Action

Zoomers Toddler Group

A fun space for toddlers and their grown-ups meets at 10am on Wednesdays with songs, games, toys and crafts for little ones.

Knit & Natter, Soup Lunches, Board Games Afternoons

Our Church Hall is often busy in the week with lively voices and active fingers. Many friends in the village enjoy socialising (and also raising funds for charities, or helping worthwhile projects).

Cafe Sunday

Cafe Sundays

Once every couple of months we do something different on a Sunday morning. Rather than holding a traditional service in the chapel instead we meet in the hall with coffee, cake, videos, discussion and a fun quiz. A relaxed environment more accessible for anyone not so familiar with church services. A space for deep questions, time to talk, ponder and pray.

Special Services & Joint Services

Through the year we often have special celebrations or services: Harvest Festival, Easter, Village Carol Service, Songs of Praise with the Salvation Army Band. We are delighted to be able to join St Michael and All Angels Parish Church for many of these occasional services.
